That is an interesting question. If there is to be
tolerance one would assume balance is needed. An
unsteady and turbulent state of mind is not conducive to
sound judgement and calm reflection which one would
assume is needed for tolerance. Tolerance is a
positive act as opposed to a passive one. It is
the ability to maintain goodwill when it is difficult.
This requires mental balance and perspective.
On the flip side to maintain balance in a world of flux
one must needs be tolerant of imbalance.
Equilibrium is a tacking left and right, it is a
constant effort to come back to the center. A
centering is needed and a vigilance which requires a
tolerance of disruption.
