“The power descends on every human being, for without it no one can stand.”

“It is the divine light which illluminates all the wonders of the divine immensity.”

The second St. Martin passage reminds one of the list of excellences Krishna equates with being at one with the Logos.

“The Ineffable Name dwells latent in the heart of every man.“

— H.P. Blavatsky

“The Light of Ishvara unifies the self and not-self.”

— Bhavani Shankar

When we try to give a name to the unnameable we limit what is limitless.

We give names to forms to distinguish them from other forms since each form embodies different attributes.  It is useful in the world of manifestation where we need to identify the individual unit;  otherwise, everything is a blob.  Our spiritual power enables us to perceive and it is the light of intelligence that helps us to comprehend.

“When the five vestures have been stripped off, the Self shines forth pure, the one essence of eternal bliss, beheld within, supreme, self-luminous.“

— Shankaracharya

We might say that the Seventh Principle of Man provides the metaphysical underpinning for the concept of Universal Brotherhood.   It is the source of the idea that all men are created equal in the US Constitution.  It is the logic behind the French motto of Liberte, Equalite and Fraternite.

Hi Gerry,

I think so, too.  The idea that the One manifests through the many is echoed in all the teachings.  If we perceive the power behind all the forms, we see the One Spirit.  It is that we are only identified with the surface, the multiplicity of appearances, and overlook the Essence of all things.
